Join us for a basic intro to spey casting clinic with Ryan Ratliff on Sunday, October 17 in Columbus!
The "Spey" world can be a very confusing place to travel. It often carries the stigma of being complicated and only for advanced casters. However, this is totally wrong. A spey cast is basically a roll cast with an added change of direction.
At this Clinic, Ryan will provide an overview on the many terms that add to the confusion...Scandi, Skagit, Circle-Up, Point P... Once we get the jargon out of the way, there will be hands-on casting instruction on the grass before moving to the water. Two-handed rods and lines will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own rod (including single hand rods). *Waders will be needed for the on the water portion of the clinic.
