Fly Tying 101: Steelhead Edition with Emma Simone
Join Emma Simone and women from the community for a hands-on introduction to fly tying designed for beginners and steelhead enthusiasts alike! In this session, we’ll cover the fundamentals of tying your own flies, focusing on two proven steelhead patterns: the White Death and a classic Egg Pattern.
You’ll learn step-by-step how to tie each fly, plus tips and tricks to set you up for success at the vise. After tying, we’ll shift gears and walk through how to rig these patterns on your fly rod so you can confidently hit the water prepared for steelhead season.
All materials and tools will be provided—just bring your curiosity and excitement to learn!
Feel free to bring your own vise and tools if you have them.
