About the Event

Shoreline fishing on Lake Erie can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t always have to be. At this event, Jim Mucci from John Fabian Fly Fishing will teach you the techniques to improve your success on our Great Lakes coastline. Jim will cover topics such as casting, line management, fly selection, gear, species to target and when, all while on the water!

I thoroughly enjoy fishing Lake Erie’s beaches, breakwalls and piers for a multitdue of fun, hard fighting species on the fly. Around these areas it is not common to see someone casting a flyrod from our breakwalls or beaches, however shore casting is a tried and true technique utilized on the eastern shores of the Atlantic for a number of incredible gamefish. Jim is hosting this event to encourage you and to show others that surf casting on our Great Lake has a similar rich tradition and an amazingly gratifying experience. Probing the dark big water of Lake Erie can appear daunting, but after this event you will have all the information and skills needed to make your next lake fishing adventures as successful as possible.

Cost: $145

Gear (optional): Gear and flies will be provided at this event. If you would like to get comfortable with your own setup, we encourage you to bring your gear. Jim will be happy to help you setup what you bring. A fly rod that is a 6wt or larger with either floating or sinking line will be good for this event.
