About the Event
The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize anglers, both amateur, pro, and everything in between with the intriguing natural world of non-game fish in streams. Cameron Layne will teach us how to use various fish sampling apparatus to capture colorful inhabitants usually hiding below the water's surface and shadow of game fish. These sampling methods are completely legal with a fishing license, are compactable, a helpful field tool for anglers, and easy to learn how to use. Additionally, we will talk about the importance of these fish and their presence in streams as well as how they support the fishing industry.
This workshop will be held on the Big Darby. We will meet at the Camp Chase Trail Parking area. There will be roughly a 10 minute hike to the sampling area.
This workshop is free to attend with an option to pay at registration. All proceeds will go toward the cost of putting on the workshop.
*Please note an Ohio fishing license is needed to participate at this workshop.
