About the Event

Join us for a women’s beginner fly tying class with Metro Parks Outdoor Adventure on Sunday, February 8th! The class will be held in the Nature Center building at Highbanks Metro Park in Columbus, OH.

This beginner-friendly class is perfect if you’re brand new to fly tying or just want to sharpen your skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment. During the class, Katie Johnstone will teach you how to tie two panfish patterns: a foam beetle and the Crappie Special. These flies are both effective, fun to tie flies that are great additions to any fly box. Katie will walk you through each step, answer questions, and make sure everyone leaves with new skills and confidence at the vise.

Come enjoy a fun winter afternoon of tying flies, meeting other women anglers, and having some fun - no prior experience required!
