About the Event
Ohio Women on the Fly and Scioto Made are excited to present The Fly Tying Social on March 2, 2025! This event is for the Ohio fly tying community to get together for an afternoon of tying demonstrations, an open vise tie and a fun mystery bag fly tying competition. The full schedule, the list of guest tyers and information on the tying competition can be found below.
What is the mystery bag fly tying competition? A fun tying competition where participants will be given a bag of random materials and will have a set amount of time to tie a fly. Once the clock runs out, the voting will begin! All who are in attendance will be able to vote.
There will be three categories:
Best looking fly
Most likely to fall apart after one cast
Most creative fly
